What did the team learn about diversity from this activity?

This activity gave us the opportunity to learn about another culture, as members of our team were able to share their knowledge and experiences of this festival. We were able to learn about the traditional Pooram elephant decorations, including the brightly decorated parasols and the elephant keepers who participate in this festival. We used these traditional elements and incorporated them with the creative ideas of our team members. This activity allowed us to gain an understanding of the diversity of skills and creativity in our team.

What did the team gain from this activity?

The Gateway Systems team enjoyed an afternoon tea together where we celebrated the Pooram festival by eating Indian food, listening to music and watching videos of the Pooram celebrations. This was a good activity for our team to work together, to be creative and to appreciate another culture.
